The deputy head of the Parliament from the ranks of the Bosniak community, Emilia Rexhepi, has said Vjosa Osmani to get the vote of MPs from the non-Serb community should be nominated by the VV.
In an interview for Kosovo Press, she has said she has great respect for Osman, but these communities are in coalition with Albin Kurti's party.
We as a multiethnic group are eight deputies, now nine, and Veton Berisha is with us. We are in a coalition with Vetevendosje. They as the largest party in the country with 57 deputies have the strength to vote with us for president. I spoke to President Osmani, I have great respect. But we need a proposal from Vetevendosje, and we expect the candidate these days to see how we vote... She has my vote, because for me Mrs. Osmani has done a very good job, a huge PR for Kosovo abroad and we are together in the weather, maybe 20 years we are here in the assembly and they have deputies, we have worked a lot together”, she says.
She has indicated that she has met with Prime Minister Albin Kurti on this issue these days.
We have also spoken with Prime Minister Kurti, he was converted into an Iftar with us in Prizren two nights ago and we expect what Vetevendosje will decide as the great party... No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We've spoken about even a name”, Rexhepi stressed.
