Rama in Brussels on Monday Meets with Costa

Prime Minister Edi Rama will meet Monday on February 9th with European Council President Antonio Costa. At the meeting in Brussels, the focus is expected to be the process of membership negotiations.

Albania has still not been able to receive Standards Rating Report for Reforming Judicial for chapters 23 and 24 IBAR. Without the approval of this report by member states, the process of closing up groups cannot begin.

At the current meeting at the ambassador level, there have been requirements for concrete evidence of senior officials sentenced to final decisions and sequentials of their assets.

With the new methodology of negotiations it could be that an EU member state under these circumstances would require their return to the starting point. Chapters 23-24 on the judiciary opened first and closed last in the negotiations process./Periscopi/
