Epstein was detained on charges of trafficking human beings with sexual exploitation. So far, the census has not been made public. The video shows the guard approaching the security table near the isolation floor of Epstein's cell and about ten seconds later entering the cell itself.
A few minutes later, two other guards join him, and Epstein is declared dead at 6:39 a.m. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) concluded that Epstein committed suicide, which was confirmed by an autopsy nine days later. Investigators said that from 10:40 p.m., August 9, when Epstein was locked in his cell until 6:30 the next morning, no one entered the SHU (special residence unit).
However, recently released images show an orange figure climbing the stairs to Epstein's cell at 22:39. The FBI labeled the picture a possible “prisoner”, while the Justice Department General Inspector's Office identified the figure as an unknown guard in an orange suit, citing it in its report.
