Former Prime Minister Mustafa's Expectations for Tomorrow's Assembly session

The country's president, Vjosa Osmani earlier, has announced that she has called the Constitutive Senate for tomorrow ( Wednesday) starting at 12:00.

The country's former prime minister, Isa Mustafa, has been asked what expectations regarding this session are.

Mustafa has said he wishes the Constitution to be respected at this point, in order to constitute the assembly and the state will function.

“I wish to respect the Constitution, build the Parliament and function state”, it said briefly in a proposal for IndexOnline, broadcast Periscope.

After consulting with the majority of parliamentary parties represented in the assembly and given the urgency of establishing institutions, adopting the international budget and agreements, in line with the Constitution and legislation in force, the president has decided that the assembly's constitutional session would invite him tomorrow, on February 11th, 2026<1>, the announcement said.

The 28 December elections won the Vetevendosje Movement by 57 seats, but without a ruling majority. PDK received 22 mandates, LDK 15 AAK 6, and 20 seats belong to communities.

As of February 9th, Kosovo has been in institutional blockades. The São Assembly has approved the 2026 budget and by 4 March must elect the president. The constitutional hearing includes the MP's oath and the election of the Speaker of the Parliament's Vice Presidents. /Periscope
