The plane on one engine was forced to perform an emergency landing at the busy intersection of Browns Bridge Road with Pearl Nix Parkway on Monday. The images show how the airway quickly falls, crashes into asphalt, and then slides toward the vehicles in circulation.
According to local media W SB, the plane hit three vehicles, and one of its wings was cut off and its tires destroyed during the crash. Two drivers and one of the passengers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The pilot and a pilot student were on board. Gainesville police confirmed that the student suffered minor injuries. The plane, a 2010 EU-36 Hawker Beechcrraft, had engine problems shortly after the lift from Lee Gillmer Memorial Airport.
