Obadiah: LDK expresses readiness for institutional co-operation in Parliament

Following the presentation of the exhibition for the new cabinet government by Albin Kurti, LDK head Lumir Abdixhiku spoke on the Parliament's speaker.

In his speech, MP Abdixhiku congratulated Parliament Speaker Albulen Haxhiu, but his new task.

“This is an ordinary and extraordinary institutional role, because the direction of the Assembly is measured not only with a procedural correction, but with the ability to maintain the equality of voices, the dignity of debate and the measure of power in a country that knows how fragile democracy becomes when institutions lose their balance”, Abdixhiku said.

I wish this task to be exercised with maturity, patience and awareness of the role that the Parliament has in Kosovo's democratic life as a common home of political representation, and as a guarantee that no majority, however powerful, will forget that power is temporary, while the institution is permanent”.

He said the LDK expresses readiness for institutional co-operation in Parliament “on topics that exceed parliamentary arithmetic because we believe that state stability is built with caution and respect for the opposition, and that democracy is not just a matter of numbers, but a question of political culture”.

Addressing citizens, the head of the LDK said: “We are convinced that you, but your verdict should yield concrete results for you, not for our victories or losses here”.

The citizen will have spoken clearly, and this will has decided The LDK in opposition, which we accept because respect for the vote is the foundation of any serious democracy”, he said./Periscopi/
