She has said these developments across the Middle East are dangerous, indicating that the EU sea mission “Asipdes” has been placed in high alert mode.
Kallas has also said they are closely co-ordinating with Arab partners to explore diplomatic routes, not to mention the United States of America at all.
The latest developments across the Middle East are dangerous. Iran's regime has killed thousands of people. Its ballistic and nuclear missile programmes, along with support for terrorist groups, pose a serious threat to global security. The EU has adopted strong sanctions against Iran and has supported diplomatic solutions, including the nuclear issue. I've spoken with Israeli Foreign Minister Saar, and other ministers in the region. The EU is also closely co-ordinating with Arab partners to explore diplomatic routes”, it has written.
“The protection of civilians and international humanitarian rights is a priority. Our consular network is fully engaged in facilitating evacuations for EU citizens. EU non-organist personnel are withdrawing from the region. Our Aspides naval mission remains on high alert at the Red Sea and is ready to help keep the sea corridor” open, Callas has finished.
