To RTKs they suggest that, according to the current assessment of the Committees, the risk for Kosovo is low, as well as O BSH and other organizations have estimated that the blasts remain sporadic, localised and with limited possibilities of spread beyond India, where two cases have been discovered.
However, according to them, the Committees have recommended expanding epidemiological supervision and increasing the readiness of the health system, but at this stage there is no reason for public alarm or danger to the population in Kosovo.
Doctor Nasser Ramadani, ex-director I The KSHPK, says public health experts stress that the Nipah virus is rare, but when explosions occur, the consequences can be very serious.
