Idriz shares Mortum post recognition for journalist Faton Osman

Idrizi said Osmani was committed to truth, accurate information and public responsibility, adding that throughout his career, he testified that journalism is a mission and service for society, while stressing that his experience in written media, news and television agencies, as well as local and international co-operation, built him as a respected name in media circles.

A rare professional and a man of high integrity. Faton Osmani was a journalist dedicated to truth, accurate information and public responsibility. Throughout his professional journey, he testified that journalism is not just a profession but a mission and service to society. With extensive experience in written media, news agencies and television, as well as important local and international co-operation, Faton Osmani built a respected name in media circles. He contributed professionally, cautiously and ethically to any role he exercised as reporter, editor and leader”, he said.
Idriz added that, as son of Vushtrri, Osman is being honored with special respect through this gratitude he is giving to his family, for his extraordinary contribution as professional journalist and founder of Online Economy, underlining that this is an expression of thanks and evidence that his work and values continue to inspire generations of journalists, while urging those in attendance to remember by preserving the professional principles for which he lived and worked.
“A separate chapter of his work is the establishment of the News Agency “Eonomia Online”, in 2010. As founder and executive director, he created a serious, reliable, and high professional medium. The principles he built on accuracy, impartiality, and professional responsibility remain a living legacy in the work of this agency. Faton Osman was the son of Vushtrri. So, at this memorial academy, with special respect, I will hand over to his family a post mortum gratitude for their extraordinary contribution as professional journalist, with integrity and high dedication to the service of fair public information, and as founder of the News Agency “Online Economy” Such gratitude is an expression of thanks but also evidence that Faton Osman's work and values live beyond the time and continue to inspire generations of journalists. Finally, let us remember Faton not only by word but by preserving and cultivating the professional principles for which he lived and worked. His memory be eternal”, he said.
Faton Osmani was separated from life at 49, on February 11, 2025.
He left behind his wife, daughter, and son, all three even now of the Online Economy News Agency, both in its direction and in its daily work, toward further development.
Faton Osmani was founder, owner and executive director of the Online Economy News Agency. But, most of all, he was a journalist.
Real professional with higher values. He made an honorable name in media circles and enjoyed respect from the general public. From his beginning in journalism, with undeniable talent and maximum devotion, he soon gained confidence and succeeded in becoming a first - class reporter, covering the main events and the weightier developments, primarily political.
Only after a perfectly natural and well - deserved year did he advance to the editor. He was editor of the News Agency “Kosovo”, editor of the newspaper “News”, editor of the newspaper “Express”, editor of the newspaper “jeta in Kosovo”, while he also worked on television at KTV.
He cooperated with a range of other media, including international media. It was the Kosovo correspondent of one of Germany's biggest news agencies, Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DPA). Also a time was Kosovo correspondent of the newspaper “Century” in Tirana.
In 2010, Faton Osman established the Online Economy News Agency. He testified to leadership skills, with a sense of creating a positive and sound working spirit. He was constantly concerned about high professional dignity, with the conviction that in journalism all things evolve, but accuracy and impartiality remain consistent principles.
It is a general assessment that it succeeded in the Online News Agency being a serious medium of high professional standards, a reliable source of information and reliable partner of dozens of media in Kosovo and abroad.
