Goals following request for the punishment of former KLA leaders: How can we convince our children that we were deliverers?

Subhead of O VL-KLA, Gazmend Syla, has said it is not a big surprise the Special Court's request to be sentenced to 180 years in total prison to four former KLA heads KLA Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselin, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi. He has criticised Chief Special Prosecutor Kimberley West's statement that the staff is not condemned.

Sylla on the “60 Minutes” show on KTV, said they were KLA leaders so they cannot be tried as individuals. The deputy head of the KLA's OVL has indicated that if convicted, it would be very difficult to convince children in the future that they have been rescuers.

Unfortunately, we won't have anything to tell our children, too hard to convince them that we've been deliverers, not criminals, because that's a misconception of the Special Court Attorney that says we're judging them as individuals. You cannot separate as individuals the people who have led the Kosovo Liberation Army. It will also be very difficult for Kosovo on the diplomatic level. Will Kosovo ever be able to sue Serbia for genocide then”, Syla has said.

According to Syla, the prosecution dealt with false witnesses. He has compared Ramush Haradinaj's trial to how a witness has been corrupted because the Prosecutor has had to somehow file charges, but that such a witness made him very rich.

“We have had other processes, you know the case of Haradinaj, Limaj of other cases. Many witnesses have been lured into being witnesses to the prosecution because the prosecution had to file an indictment. The Witnesses have been offered good conditions. I know many witnesses in Haradinaj's case who have seen the thief and made the conditions better than all of his fellow villagers. They've been corrupted. I have seen a testimony when a witness says that I was given a slap and Haradinaj didn't intervene when he gave me that slap and that person is a millionaire today. You're in a tight spot. He and his family have gone out and they have a lot of money and they live like "bosa”," Syla said.

As for the protest organisation, Syla has said that many international partners have supported them because as Syla quoted them as saying that we want to see people's perception of the special court's actions.
