From today, final words in judgment against Thaci, Veselin, Krasniqi and Selimi

From today the process against former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders being tried at The Hague enters the final phase.

From today to February 18th, in Specialised Chambers the parties will present the final word for judgment.

The first hearings are scheduled for the prosecution, then the defender of the victims and the protection of the accused.

At the latest session Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi will have access to their positions for 20 minutes.

Recognition of this process awaits the end to be triumphant for the fourth.

According to lawyer Ardian Bajraktari, their protection side is in the lead because of witness credibility.

“Ecuria of the process is already coming to an end, and according to these parameters I appreciate that by June or July we will have the court's verdict on the first degree, and if there is justice I am optimistic that the end of the process will be triumphant, it will be reconfirming as regards the purity of the NLA” war, the lawyer told RTK-based Ardian Bajraktari.

The director of the Law Institute, Ehat Miftaraj, who raised concerns about the approach of the court, which he said was not equal.

The trial body is not that there has been a fair and equal approach to both prosecutors and victims' advocates, as well as defendants and defence lawyers. Unfortunately, there were detention measures beyond the reasonable timetable. For us, it is meaningless that defendants are kept in custody for years. If we're going to have a loose judgment act, then what will be the court's argument”, he said of RTK Ehat Miftaraj.

After the final word, the court has 90 days to take over a first - degree position.
