The educator accused of throwing flag and table into waste is acquitted

The Constitutional Court in Pristina has declared a free trial of Muhamed Hajredinaj on the charge that in the quality of the teacher, the national flag and plis was thrown into the trash basket.

The indictment was proclaimed Tuesday by the chairman of the court, Leon Perlasca, and members Violet Naman-Hajra and Avni Syla, reports “Justice bet“.

Judge Perska said the court relied on evidence administered in the judiciary and praised that the defendant has not been intent on inciting hatred and patience.

The judge said Hajredinaj's actions do not meet elements of criminal work, so it is acquitted.

The accused did not participate in the proclamation.

The costs of criminal procedure fall to the court.

According to the Special Prosecutor's Act, set up on April 24, 2025, Hajredinaj was charged that on November 27, 2024, at the facility of the Low School of Middle Start “Xhemail Mustafa” in Pristina, in the quality of English language educator, with the aim of inciting hatred, division and non-compence between national, ethnic and religious groups, he has thrown the red black flag and plis into the waste basket, despite the students' opposition. He was also accused of leaving class with a student bearing the emblems of participation in the flag Day festive program.

With these actions, Hajredinaj was charged with criminal work “The inflammation of division and failure to be” according to Article 141, paragraph 4, concerning the paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code.
