Dixon: Sorry, we're left in the hands of rumors no evidence against Wessel

Kadri Wessel's lawyer, Rodney Dixon, has said it's a shame because this case was built by rumors.

He said there is no direct evidence testifying to Wessel's activity on the part of criminalistic viewpoint.

We are left in the hands of gossip and no further evidence and there is no criminal evidence. It's unfortunate”, he said.

Before that, he said there have been many witnesses who have testified that they had no contact with Wessel, that he was outside Kosovo, etc.

He said, however, that some people have tried to tarnish his name.

After the war, it became more politically recognised and only then came out some people who tried to tarnish his name. Although they did not say anything during the war for him, but later in the post-war political environment, several completely groundless charges --”, Dixon said.

The lawyer said none of these people were confronted by Wessel at The Hague because they had not testified.

Thus, according to Dixon, their statements were accepted through other witnesses and considered secondary evidence.
