This PDK chairmanship meeting comes as a discussion on the issue of electing the new president takes place in the country, and there is a concrete scenario on the horizon for who will be the new head of state.
Political parties have until March 4th to address this issue and avoid new elections, which should be announced in the event of the new president's election failure, Express reports.
Current President Vjosa Osmani has openly expressed her wish even for a mandate, however, it seems that for her name, there is neither agreement within the GUXO party that had once established it.
From LVV and GUXO, when asked about Osman's name, they have said they don't have votes and that to choose Osman is not for a few votes, but for at least 15.
Kurti has stressed that she needs the opposition's help to elect the president, for which she has also held meetings with Bedri Hamza's Lumir Abdixhik.
