BQ: Remittances reached 1.22 billion euros in 2025

Remittances in Kosovo during 2025 have reached the value of 1.24 billion euros, marking an increase of 4.4%, or about 60m euros more compared to 2024. According to the Kosovo Central Bank (BQK), most remittances have come from Germany with about 39% of the total.
After that, Switzerland ranks 17.5%, the United States of America with 7.2%, Austria with 4.2%, Italy with 3.9%, while Belgium and France, with 3.4%.
As far as money is being delivered, about 55% of remittances have been transferred through vehicle transfer agencies, 17% through banks and 28% through other channels. This facility has remained almost the same as in the previous year.
The monthly average remittances stood at around 117.9m euros, while the biggest flows were registered in July, August and December, mainly due to the arrival of exiles to Kosovo during the summer season and holiday season of the year.
