Berisha reacts to The Hague: Charge against former KLA leaders is Serbian propaganda

The chairman of Albania's Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has reacted sharply after presenting the indictment by the Special Prosecutor in The Hague to former Kosovo political and military leaders.

Through a public post, Berisha has declared that the prosecution has submitted, according to him, the most serious charges so far, demanding sentences totaling about two centuries of prison sentences for Kosovo's top liberation war leaders, writes IndexOnline.

He has stressed that, although convinced that justice should act on any crime and anyone who has committed it, following the long-term judicial process, no concrete evidence has been presented to the public to prove the alleged crimes against the accused.

Dear friends, today the Kosovo Court's special prosecution at The Hague filed the most serious charges and demanded years of imprisonment for more decades, about two centuries taken together, for the key leaders of Kosovo's liberation war.

By being convinced that justice should give its verdict on any crime and anyone who committed it, and after carefully following the multi-year trial process, and I have ascertained that no evidence, fact or document has been presented before the public to prove concrete crimes committed by the accused, I declare that today's accusation brought against former KLA leaders, former Natos's allies in the war for Kosovo's liberation is a repeat of the slander of ultranationalist propaganda and the fazitica Vukcevic, which first formulated their pre-emic charge of the former KLA leaders, the Natos in the war's war enforcement, the Serbs, even in their territory.
