AUV temporarily bans import of child formula “APTAMIL”

This decision has been made following repeated reports from the Fast Food and Food Food System (RASFF), under which several European Union countries, including Kosovo, have faced the possible presence of the Cereulides toxin on this product.

“Citizens have no reason for concern, as for the amount previously introduced in Kosovo, the measures are undertaken on time and preemptiveally”, AUV notes in its communiqué.

The agency has made it known that in co-ordination with economic operators, the withdrawal from the warned product market has been realised, while AUV inspectors are continuing with full detection to verify if any of the product units considered useless have remained.

All actions taken earlier, but even this decision, have a priority for the maximum protection of infant and consumer health. The situation is being managed with full responsibility and continued co-ordination with international partners”, AUV adds.

The agency also announces all economic operators operating in Kosovo for the mandatory implementation of this decision, which goes into effect from 11.02.26 and applies throughout the country's territory.
