According to AUV, reports have been accepted through the Fast Food and Animal Food Alert System (RASFF) and are related to products produced in Germany, the Netherlands and Ireland.
Periscope reported on the case a month ago, which brought the response of institutions to the country.
Official reports from RASFF are: Notifying by No. 2026.0663, which has to do with the presence of the Cereulide toxin on the formula for babies produced in Germany, report No. 2026.1018, related to the presence of the Cereulides toxin in products produced in the Netherlands, as well as the report No. 2026.1017, related to the presence of the Cereuide toxin in infant formulas and formulas for medical purposes produced in Ireland.
Because of the level of danger considered serious, AUV, in collaboration with import company U n NION sh.p.k., Vushtrri, is taking immediate measures to attract these products from the market.
The AUV calls on all businesses to immediately cut off the sale of these products, while consumers who possess such products do not use them and to return them to their respective selling points.
The Food and Veterinary Agency remains committed to continued market monitoring and implementation of preventive and controlling measures, aimed at ensuring food safety and protecting consumer health in the Republic of Kosovo.
