(5 months ago)Israeli media are reporting that the main targets of the attacks on Iran were Supreme Leader Ajatolah Ali Khamenei, senior Iranian officials, as well as Iran's nuclear deposits. At that, Channel 12 reports that one of the senior officials killed during the attacks was Ali Shamkhan, a Khamene adviser and responsible for the nuclear programme.
According to Israeli media during today's operation, Iranian Army Chief Amir Khatami was also killed.
“Amir Khatami, commander of Iran's Islamic Republic Army, has been eliminated”, media reported, however, the news has not been confirmed by Iranian sources.
Meanwhile Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, head of Iran's judiciary, was reportedly also killed during the attacks.
Mohseni-Ejei previously supervised Iran's judiciary, which has faced international criticism of severe sentences handed down during the crackdown on January protests. He reportedly appointed the death penalty for thousands of protesters.
