While the current president's name, Vjosa Osmani continues to be cited as the most likely option for a new mandate, other potential names have been mentioned in the media.
Among them, several members of the Jashar family have also been coveted as figures that could be proposed for the presidential post.
MPs from non-Serb communities for “Front Online” have spoken about their positions regarding the names coveted for president.

He said the future head of state must be a unifying figure, but has left open his support for some names that have been publicly talked about.
“We're not about blocking institutions, especially now that there's only one choice left for the president, whoever will be a unifying figure and for the good of citizens. There is no direct discussion either with the prime minister, but either the Jasharaj family or Vjosa Osmani will have my vote”, Galushi said of “Front Online”.
Shutting down Damka speaks of the presidential proposal: We will act on coalition stand
Kosovo Democratic Chairman Türk Partis (KDTP), Fikrim Damka, has told “Front Online” that the subject he heads will act in line with coalition positions on the issue of electing the president.
