“3 times my resignation”, Rama: Belinda Balluk is not accused of corruption

The meeting of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, where Belinda Balluk's fate is expected, began with strong criticism of the justice system. Prime Minister Edi Rama viewed the suspension of a ministry as a brutal intervention in executive power and directly criticised SPAK prosecutors, saying they issued “theatre ticket”, [...]
He also claimed Belinda Balluk has resigned three times, but has flatly rejected him.
Rama: I want to share with you here something I have said without public presence through the media.
Belinda Balluk has resigned three times. Since you filed charges first. While all pots make accounts, the charge is not corruption. There is no charge of corruption, but of inequality in the tender.
Then he brought me a written resignation when the suspension took place. And then a third time when I was resurfaced by the Constitutional Court. I've rejected the idea of resigning officially.
Why is this worth repeating and I want to share it publicly? Because I have the conviction that in this revolutionary phase of the country's institutional life, justice in Albania must taste democracy.
We cannot enter the dance of automatic resignations whenever an accusation arises. We should all do our job. Ours, our own justice.
I know very well the European theory and practice of moral resignation, which is not practiced in Europe at all.
But today in Albania, through SPAK, justice has begun to do a serious damage to the administration by overturning the sacred principle of presuming innocence.
It is easy to say, in Germany an accused minister resigns, but this does not happen in Italy, and in France the justice minister even stood in office with a very serious accusation and received innocence.
