After the recount process ends, the Central Election Commission (KQZ) is expected to announce the election's final result.
CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has stated in a Facebook post that the recount process “removes dilemmas in terms of results and may reduce the need for complaints”.
Speaking of legal procedures, Elez has stressed that, under the Law for General Elections, political subjects and candidates have the right to file complaints in the Electoral Panel for Anxiety and Parashta (PZAP) and, in case of need, the process can continue at the Supreme Court.
He has added that, although the recount helps clarify the results, the CEC must wait for the completion of the legal deadline for submitting and reviewing complaints before proceeding with the certificate of final results and closing the election process.
Meanwhile, the CEC has announced that by Sunday at the Counting and Results Centre, 65 per cent of the deployments, down from 2,557, have been re-counted, respectively.
