This has been confirmed for Kosova Prees by CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi, who has shown about the dynamics of work at the Counting and Results Centre.
The number of teams engaged in the recount process during a working day is 76. Based on this capacity and the number of locations left to recount, we plan and are making efforts to complete the entire process by the end of January”, Elezi has said.
Elez has said that the CEC will announce the final result after the recounting ends, which, according to him, could reduce the need for complaints, as the recounting could remove all dilemmas in terms of results.
“Following the end of the recount process, the CEC will announce the election's final result. As envisioned in the Law for General Elections, political subjects and candidates will be able to submit their complaints regarding this outcome in PZAP and, eventually, the process could continue until the Supreme Court. Of course, the recount process removes all dilemmas as far as results are concerned, and this may even reduce the need for complaints, but the CEC must wait for the deadline for submitting these complaints and reviewing them before proceeding with the certificate of the final election outcome and also with the conclusion of the election process”, Elez added.
According to the data, at the Centre for Counting and Results is continuing the process of recounting the deployments, which are under two decisions by the Central Election Commission. In total, the recount process will include all 2,557 locations where the regular election process has been held on December 28th 2025.
According to the CEC's first decision, on January 13th, 2026, the recounting of 914 deployments was preceded, while with the second decision, January 19, 2026, is set to include another 1,643 seats, extending the process overall. /Periscopi/
