Police have confirmed that five people have been arrested, two of whom have been submitted to regular procedure, while three others will be held in custody for 48 hours.

“confirm how the continuation of the investigation of an earlier case, today with the date 29.01.2026, Prizren's Narcotics Unit, with support from other police units, has carried out an antidrug operation in the function of implementing the LGTH command in Prizren, where four different locations are checked. During today's operation, relevant evidence has also seized narcotics, money, equipment, vehicles, telephones, a pistol, and so on. Five people were arrested by police, two were sent to regular procedure and three of them were sent into custody for 48 hours. Investigations over the case are continuing from the drug unit in Prizren. Kosovo police in co-operation with justice bodies are committed to preventing and fighting drug abuse and trafficking throughout the country. It will apply zero tolerance to groups and individuals involved in criminal activities, acting decisively and in accordance with the law on ensuring security and preserving the health of our citizens”, police spokesman Daut Hoxha confirmed.
