The PDK urgently wants to clear up who's responsible for special speech in “; Germany Doda”

Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Progress Gruda held a news conference today, where he expressed deep concern for the PDK over the speeches held in Kosovo schools by representatives of the Special Court and its associates. According to Gruda, the recordings published in the media testify that during these presentations, to minor students, an unacceptable language has been used and contrary to the fundamental principles of education and a democratic society.

“The students, mostly under the age of 18, have received unilateral claims, labeling former KLA leaders as perpetrators of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

This is scandalous and unacceptable”, Gruda stressed. He warned that Kosovo's liberation war is no longer being attacked only in Special Court halls in The Hague, but that the same Narrative is trying to enter even school banks.

“Our war is also being attacked by our banks and classrooms. But our truth cannot be changed in the name of selective justice, nor can collective memory be distorted in the name of education,” he said.

MP The PDK stressed that party concern is multidimensional. He cited the risk of indoctrinating students, attempts at rewriteing Kosovo's history, as well as violating the principle of presumption of innocence.

The “Toni used in these presentations treats Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselin, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi as guilty, prejudiced on the final decision.

The real courts deal with justice, not propaganda”, Gruda said.

He added that this Court has deviated from its original mission.

“It has had to help clear the truth and remove stains on the KLA, but it has become a mechanism that tries to rewrite history”, he said. The PDK requires urgent clarification of who is responsible for these speeches, and how it happened for presentations presented as children's rights speeches to be transformed into political messages. “We seek accounts from the Ministry of Education for the way anyone is allowed to legalise students in Kosovo schools, without institutional and non-professive supervision,” stressed Gruda.

In this context, he said the march, warned for February 17th, with the motto “Justice, not politics”, is a natural reaction at the moment when the process in The Hague has entered the final phase. In closing, Gruda stressed the PDK's steadfast stance. “Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi are part of our glorious liberation history. They are not guilty of any crime.

The PDK stands firmly in their defence, in defense of the KLA and in defense of the truth for Kosovo”, Gruda said.
