Opposition protest in Albania, the US Embassy comes out with calls for American citizens: Avoid demonstration

A demonstration is scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 24, 2025, at 5:00. Protesters plan to gather at the prime minister's building, located on the Boulevard of the Nation between Mother Teresa Square and Skender Bebe. The increased presence of police, road closures and traffic cuts is expected. Albanian State Police have announced that protesters can block intersections in different parts of the city of Tirana. American Embassy personnel have been advised to avoid demonstration. Monitor local media and follow local law enforcement guidelines for the latest information.
