(6 months ago)Kosovo Police Director Gazmend Hoxha has held the first official KP visit to the border between the United States and Mexico. As it becomes known in a media report, the delegation from Kosovo during the visit held on January 23rd closely observed border security operations in real-time port. [...]
“Visita was organised with the support of the US Embassy in Pristina through DOJ-IITAP”. “This historic visit marked the first time that Kosovo Police officials have directly observed operational procedures at several US border crossing points. The delegation expressed high appreciation for the possibility of being closely acquainted with the sophisticated practices of CBP and Border Control Border Board, the use of modern technologies, and coordinated law enforcement approaches used at one of the most busy entry points in the United States”, the report is further said.
Kosovo police have at the same time praised the visit, with which they stressed that knowledge and experience gained will contribute to future planning and capacity-building initiatives, including continued co-operation with the US Embassy in Kosovo.
