Strong storms, powerful electricity activity, torrential rains and floods are expected on Monday

This destabilisation is due to the powerful atmospheric systems that Italy has involved. So, at night, in the early 24th hour of Monday respectively, downpours and lightning slides are expected locally.

Later, during the morning hours, the development of organised storm lines is expected, especially in the lower half of Kosovo, with special emphasis on the Dukagjin Plains. These systems will have very slow movements, staying longer on the same areas and bringing intense rainfall, powerful electrical activity, and high flood risk. There's no chance of even local hail.

During the afternoon hours, there will be no shortage of sunny intervals, while locally isolated rains of rain can develop, accompanied by lightning slides that can continue even in the evening hours.

Winds, at certain moments during the storm crossing, can be powerful, at speeds of up to 70 km perh.

Unlike last week, when strong winds and hail were the main threat, intense rainfall and floods are expected this time. In some areas, the amount of rainfall can reach as much as 100mm, significantly increasing the risk of local flooding.

In addition to Kosovo, this powerful atmospheric system is expected to affect Albania and Montenegro as well. Especially the northern and north-center part of Albania, as well as some areas of Montenegro, may face very intense rainfall, where the amount of rainfall can locally reach between 100m and 150mm, significantly increasing the risk of massive flooding.

In Kosovo, minimal temperatures will range from 15 to 18 °C, while maximum temperatures from 23 to 27 °C.

A gradual improvement of weather and more solar intervals is expected from Tuesday, while from Wednesday temperatures will again mark growth, with maximum value that during the week may reach up to 35 °C. /Meteo Kosovo/
