Official data from groups that have visited Albania according to the Citizens Movement published by INSTAT They show that the Italians remained the second most important group with a 1.29 million entry in the following year.
This marks a 3.17 percent increase in the year 2017. What is noted is a marked slowdown in this group's growth, as in 2024 compared with the 2023 increase was 31.5 percent. Tourists said during 2025 that a fainting of Italians especially during the summer was apparent, and this was related to the fact that they no longer considered Albania a vacation free country.
The extent of certain areas where this group focused on vacations, such as the southern part of Albania, caused many to cancel bookings or change their destination.
