The Durres Port announced that this visit is conducted within the framework of co-operation between Albania and NATO forces in the function of closely recognising the capacities and infrastructure the Durres Port has for supporting logistical and military operations.
KFOR's “Delegation, consisting of representatives of different management and operational levels, was informed of the operational potential of the port, service areas, as well as opportunities Albania can provide under the host country's support for operations conducted or supported by KFOR”, the report said.
“Taki also served to further strengthen institutional co-operation and exchange information on logistical needs, operational planning and strategic role of the Durres Port in the region”, the announcement concludes.
