multinational soldiers from the NATO-led KFOR Regional Command have conducted patrols in several municipalities in western Kosovo.
Through motor and footing patrols, KFOR staff maintained a visible and flexible presence and received direct knowledge of developments on the ground.
Such activities strengthen co-ordination and interaction among multinational units, supporting stability in line with KFOR's mandate.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all Kosovo residents and to ensure freedom of movement at any time and impartially.
KFOR works in close co-operation with Kosovo Police and the European Union for Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
