IHPC denies Pristina municipality warning of strong winds

Kosovo Hydrometeorological Institute (IHMK) has denied Pristina's Community warning of strong winds in the capital, saying the announcement does not rely on the institute's data. According to the IHMK, the forecast for January 25th, 2026 was just forecasting winds at mild to medium speed, which would bring rainfall from Monday. [...]
“The IHMK explains that the municipality's announcement of strong winds does not stand and was not given by the IHMK,” said in the announcement, which was deleted in a few minutes. Later, the institute called the misunderstanding deleted publication and stressed that there is no dispute with the Pristina municipality.
The municipality had warned the average to strong winds, the most pronounced in eastern and hillyno-malal areas, which are expected to be weakened by Monday morning.
