US donates Kosovo Customs scanner, set at Merdare border point

This tool will enable facilitating goods trade and verifying trucks, trucks and cars that may be suspected of smuggling or other illegal activities.

Customs Director Agron Llugaliu and acting Minister of Internal Affairs Xhelal Svechla attended the accession ceremony.

Installation of scanners is expected to accelerate customs procedures and improve security at Kosovo border points, increasing capacities for control of goods and vehicles crossing the border
