CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has said that the outcome of this process would pave the way for the CEC to announce the final results of early elections for the Kosovo Assembly, which were held on December 28th 2025.
The Central Election Commission is trying to complete at a time as soon as possible the recount of all remaining options so as to proceed with announcing the outcome of early elections for the Kosovo Assembly. The CEC plans that the process of recounting all locations be completed during the following week”.
“After the recount ends, the CEC will announce the end result of the elections. As envisioned in the Law for General Elections, political subjects and candidates will be able to submit their complaints to PZAP and, eventually, the process can continue until the Supreme Court. Of course, the recount process removes dilemmas as far as results are concerned and this may reduce the need for complaints, but the CEC should wait for their presentation and review before proceeding with the certificate of election outcome and at the same time with the closure of the” election process, Elez said.
