The leader of Albania's Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has declared that the opposition will continue in protests, naming the political situation as the last <x0-cyclometer” and thanking citizens for their participation and response.

In a statement to the media, Berisha stressed that the protests have no personal or party character, but are, according to him, an expression of the civic conscience. He called on all citizens to join, arguing that the funds allegedly stolen affect everyone's interests, especially of new generations.

Header The DP stressed the youth's participation in the protest, naming it the most significant element of the rally. According to him, the youth presence has prompted the prime minister's harsh reaction, which he accused of insulting language against young protesters.

Berisha ended up declaring that the opposition will engage all its ongoing potential of protests, viewing them as the main means of political and civic response at this stage.

There will definitely be protests and only protests. We're in the last mile, all of our potential, we're grateful for our civic response. I have a call for every citizen, once again, it's not a protest for either person or party, it's a civil conscience protest. When we say it's been stolen hundreds of millions of euros are not just the children of those oppositions who protest, but the children of all. The most cardinal part in that protest was youth in action and the horror of Rama calling neighborhoods the dignified and courageous young men who had come up for their consciences against him”, Berisha said among other things.
