AUV bans imports of birds and their products from several regions of Poland

According to AUV, the disease has been recorded in commercial farms, family and wild birds in the Lubuskie regions, Wielkopolskie, Kodzkie and Podlaskie.

“In place of animal health protection and food safety in the Republic of Kosovo, The AUV imposed an immediate ban on the import of living birds and their products from affected areas. Unless they have originated from farms untouched by the disease, which are within a radius of 50km from affected areas”, AUV has said.

This measure, according to the agency, takes effect immediately and remains in place until further assessment of the situation.

AUV said it will continue monitoring the situation and informing the public and economic operators of any eventual change. /Periscope
