The news of the arrest confirmed the suspect's attorney, Blend Gyne.
He announced that his client was engaged as deputy prime minister's party commissioner, Emilja Rexhepi.
The lawyer has called the arrest of his client illegal and unfounded in evidence.
“has been arrested for manipulation of votes, but there is no evidence related to the issue. It's strange for me as a lawyer to impose the phone immediately. The client voluntarily handed over the phone before the arrest. Arrest is illegal”, proclaims Djind of Insider.
According to the defence, the suspect has co-operated with law enforcement by handing over his equipment, but claims the process is mounted.
Police operation is continuing, while the prosecution has not yet come up with an official announcement of the total number of detainees or sequential evidence.
