At least 13 dead because of the U.S. winter storm

The number of deaths attributed to the US storm has now increased to 13, local officials said.

A 17-year-old in Arkansas died in a car accident while participating in the snow day's activities on Saturday, the district sheriff's office said.

Lehigh County Legal Office, Pennsylvania, confirmed three deaths over the weekend, where individuals were said to be engaged in cleaning snow before experiencing a medical emergency.

Deaths ranged from 60 to 84 years of age, according to a report by the legal doctor's office, it broadcasts Telegragraphy.

Of the other deaths throughout the country attributed to the storm, two occurred in Texas, three in Tennessee, two in Louisiana, one in Kansas and one in Massachusetts, officials said in those countries.

In New York, at least five people were found dead outside at low temperatures on Saturday.

Mayor Zohann Mamdani said the cause of their death has not yet been determined.

Since it is unclear how they died, the five deaths are not included in Sky News's number of 13 victims attributed to the storm so far. /Telegraph/./Periscopi/
