According to a “study CIES Football Observatory”, based on the detailed analysis of the 100 best field players under the six criteria (air games, ground protection, construction, orchestrating, extant, assisting and finalisation), the winner would be Lamine Yamal, star of Barcelona and Spanish nationals.
Following him in the ranking would be Kylian Mbppe, who this season has been excellent individually but in a real Madrid that has not fully convinced. Podium would complete another Catalan, Pedri, giving Barcelona a fine result in this analysis.
The biggest surprise, however, is undoubtedly the position of Osmane Deble. French SPG attacker, who has achieved 35 goals and donated 16 assistings in all races, is seen as the top favourite for the real trophy.
But according to the CIES ranking, it is only in 7th place, after names like Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool), Michael Olise (Bay) and Mohammed Salah (Liverpool).
