Foreign media report that thieves have entered the house through the window and benefited from the fact that Portugal's national team coach was outside with his wife, Beth Thompson, for about four hours.
The event occurred in the coastal town of Cascais, in a short drive west of Lisbon.

Police suspect thieves knew that the couple would come out and do a thorough check in every room for valuables, convinced they had some time to act without getting caught.
It is also reported that Portugal's PSP police force, which is leading the investigation into robbery, is focusing on the theory that it was committed by a foreign gang specialising in high-level property robberies.
On the other hand, Coach Roberto Martinez led the Portuguese team to the title of the League of Nations for the 2024-2025 season.
