Only two players in the entire football history have won the “Ballon d'Or dHonneur” award.

Only two players are honoured with the extremely rare trophy “Ballonon d'Honneur”.

On Monday evening, all eyes will be directed by “Théâtre du Châtel in Paris”, where the winner of the 2025 Golden Ball will be proclaimed.

After an amazing season with Paris Saint Germain, the Ottoman Dembélé side is seen as the favorite to raise the prestigious trophy.

Meanwhile, names such as Lamine Yamal, Mohammed Salah and Raphael are also mentioned as serious candidates.

Currently, Argentian legend Lionel Messi is a convincing leader of eight Golden Balls, followed by Cristiano Ronaldo with five.

However, despite being two of the biggest players in history, neither Mess nor Ronaldo have ever won the rare “Ballonon dHonneur” trophy.

In 1995 the legend of Argentina and Naples, Diego Maradona, was honoured to welcome his extraordinary career.

In 2013, for the second time this trophy was split, now called “balon d'Or Prix d'Honneur”, and handed over to Brazilian icon Pelé.

Like Maradona, he was honored in the form of a host for his extraordinary career.
