“Napolitans” have decided that in the match on November 4th, there will be no tickets for guest fans in “Deego Armando Maradona”.
According to an official statement by Naples Prefecture, the move was necessary
“in light of the high risk for order and public security related to the event, due to the rivalry between the bases of rival fans, which had already resulted in serious incidents during the 14 March 2023 match played in this capital”.
That Champions League match, in fact, was marked by violent clashes between two fan bases, with Naples's centre turned into an urban war theatre. The images of the riots became viral, highlighting the dangers of another trip by German fans to the city.
