Yourta, who traditionally lost his life at the age of 28, along with his brother, Andre Silva, 25, in a car accident in northern Spain on July 3rd, had celebrated only three months earlier with his broad smile his goal at the Madseyside derby.
In the documentary where he related the emotions of that April match, Yourta said it was a very difficult season for me, but I was always there fighting. I could help the team that day and I'm proud of what I achieved.
“It's hard to describe. That's the feeling I look for when I play soccer. That's why you spend your whole life and all your efforts on such moments when you can decide the fate of an important fight”.
Describing the thrill of winning Premier League for the first time in his career, which he had dreamed of since he was a child in Portugal, Jotham adds: "It's something I couldn't even imagine when I was little. I wanted to play Premier League, but I never thought I'd win. It is a remarkable achievement for a boy from Gondomar who had only this dream”.
“As offensive, the best way to do this is to score. The feeling is incredible. That victory gave us momentum, and in the end it could be said to be a crucial week”, Jota points out.
Liverpool has confirmed that he will honor Jota with a sculpture outside the “Anfield” stadium and pull his lantern by 20 of use.
Meanwhile, numerous murals have emerged throughout the Merseyside area, as a permanent fan for the Portuguese star and his memorable contribution to the club./Periscopi/
