The escape of a Serb from prison in Mitrovica, Haxhiu announces a correctional officer has been arrested

Acting Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu has announced that under the investigation into escape from the Mitrovica Centre, a corrective officer, who has even been arrested by Kosovo police, has been suspended today.

Through a Facebook post, Haxhiu said the number of suspended officials amounts to six.

On this occasion, the number of suspended officials reaches six: the director of the Centre, a senior overseer and four correcting officials.

As justice minister, I reiterate that no one is above the law. Any violation will be dealt with decisively, guaranteeing accountability and security in all corrective institutions”, Haxhiu has announced.
