The football world was shocked on the morning of July 3rd by the tragic news that Liverpool's assailant, Diogo Yota, had lost his life in a car accident in Spain, along with his brother, Andre.
The news was met with deep sadness and brought reactions and ungodly from many popular sports figures and outside.
However, a post by Wycombe's former striker, Adebayo Akinfenwa, has triggered mixed public reactions.
On a graph distributed on social networks, Akinfenwa appeared behind with his Wycombe fan with number 20, near a pale image of Jota with Liverpool's lantern, also number 20. In his emotional description, he wrote:
We both kept the number 20, you played the game with style and heart. The field was your turf, sometimes you were an art act.
Number 20 to the next, rest quietly, Jotham. It was soon gone, never forgotten. We pray for our family. ”
Despite humble tones, many commentators reacted with dissatisfaction with the selection of image and mode of representation, naming the post <x0-centred “ ” and inadequate at the moment.
I don't know why you'd have a random picture of you on a host... very strange”, wrote a fan.
Another commented: “how did you create this for yourself?”, writes Telegrafi.
I shouldn't have your picture there! ! It seems very wrong”, a third commented.
And someone else left the comment: “The character syndrome is a lot?
And why did you do that, it's a little weird”, it was another critical comment.
Despite criticism, some commentators defended Akinfenwa's purpose, arguing that it was perhaps a personal way to honor someone he respected as a sportsman. /Periscopi/
