Another sport tragedy, the talented Spanish biker loses his life

According to first information, Gomez lost control of the motorcycle as he was walking out of a bend and fell down, after which he was hit by another racer who could not avoid contact. Despite the immediate intervention of the medical staff, he passed away at the scene of serious injuries. His club and the international community of motorcycles expressed the most sincere condolences to his family, friends and fans, praising both his talent and his unique character.
Borya Gomez was one of the most promising bikers of the younger generation in Spain and Europe. The career was started in 2014 in the Minimotard category, and in 2021, it won the champion title in the Supersport category in Spain. A year later, he was declared a vice champion in Superbic 1000 and 2022 debuted in the World Moto2 Championship with the Flexbox HP40 team, where he scored first in the Vallencia race by ending in 12th place.

Gomez was known for his fighting spirit and extraordinary determination. In 2024 he had a serious accident on the Misano floor, but was fully recovered and returned to form. His contribution as a test pilot to the HRC World Superbic project was a clear indication of his potential to switch to the highest sports levels.
Honda Laglisse's team bid farewell with an emotional message: “more than his pilot talent, we'll remember Boryan for the extraordinary man he was. His smile and his positiveity will live forever in our memories”, sends out the telegraph.
The motorcyclyst community in Spain and throughout Europe paid great respects as social networks were filled with messages of comfort and memories from colleagues, fans and teams who had closely followed his journey.
