The football world mourns after Thursday's news when Jotham and his brother lost their lives in an automobile accident. Their Lamborghini car blew up the tire during a parade on the A-52 Highway in Cernadailla, near Zambia, just 10 miles from the border with Portugal.
The vehicle is reportedly overthrown and then blown into flames. Rescue teams were unable to escape. Jota's brother André Silva (26), was a football player of the Penafiel Club in the second Portuguese category.
Livepool is expected to start preparations for the new season Tuesday, while Jotham was driving towards the United Kingdom after his marriage to his partner, Rutte, on June 22nd in Porto.
