Cristiano Ronaldo's sister, Katia Aveiro, has responded to criticism of her brother's decision not to attend Diogo Jota's funeral.
Yours and his brother, Andre Silva, died Thursday in a car accident. Their funeral was held in Portugal on Saturday.
Ronaldo and Thyta were associates in Portugal. At the funeral ceremony in Gondormar were fellow workers of Yotta, Portugal, and Manchester Unitedi, but not Ronaldo. He is the captain of Portugal, and he decided not to attend, praising that his presence could overshadow the funeral.
Ronaldo gets the attention he wants.
Ronaldo took some criticism of his decision. And the sister of Portuguese legend has reacted to a series of posts in “Instagram”.
When my father died, besides pain, we had to face a flood of curious cameras and viewers, in the cemetery and wherever we went. And attention wasn't what it is today, in terms of approach. At no time were we children able to leave the church. This was possible only at the time of the funeral, so great was Ronaldo's sister.
There were presidents at the funeral, national team trainers at the time, like Louis Philippe Scolar. I don't remember seeing any of them. And they clearly greeted me. But my pain blinded me”.
Stopping with criticism against Ronaldo, Katia Aveiro wrote: “is getting exhausting. Phantomism. Critical for nothing, I repeat, for nothing. Sick company, we all have family. It is absurdly shameful to watch television channels, commentators, social networks, stressing a lack of (wise) rather than respectfully honoring the pain of a family destroyed by the loss of two brothers. I'm even ashamed to see. It's for pity”
