Real Madrid confirms the fan number for Mbarppen

Real Madrid has started preparations for the upcoming 2025-26 season, which begins after more than two weeks. Four reinforcements have been added to Xabi Alonso's team, and while all have received squad numbers (as opposed to Franco Mustantuono, who has not yet arrived), some current players have made changes. Last week it was [...]
Last week it was reported that Real Madrid had decided to change the number of Kylen Mbppe's fans. The French striker got the number nine when he came from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, but the idea is now to give him the iconic number 10, which was released after Luca Modric left.
Mbppe let this be understood a few days later, and now Real Madrid has made it official: Mbppe will be their new number 10, according to Marcha. However, he is not the only first team player to have changed the number, since Raul Asencio has made a switch.
Lucas Vazquez's number 17 was left empty after his departure after the World Cup for Club, and according to Marcha, the number was taken by Assencio. The 22-year-old, who last debut season 2024-25, wears the 35-year-old fanella, is now registered with a number of the first team, confirming that Alonso counts on him for next season.
The passage of Mbppe from number 9 to 10 releases number nine again, as well as the 25. Currently, Gonzalo Garcia and Mustantuono are the only players expected to be part of next season's first team, but have not yet received a formal number of fans.
It remains to be seen if there will be other moves especially regarding the number nine. Andrewick and Gonzalo are candidates to take it, yet there is a possibility that one of them will leave Real Madrid before the end of the summer.
