Luke Modric's pay found in Milan

Croatian national captain Luka Modric is already Milan's new player.

He joined Italian giants shortly after the end of the World Cup for Club, where he held his last match for Real Madrid.

Modric has been part of the Madrillan club since 2012, becoming captain, legend and most decorated player in the history of the club with a lot of 28 trophies won.

Deal details with Milan
According to Mundo Deportivo, Modric has accepted a significant drop in pay to sign with Milan. In Italy, it will earn between 2.5m and 3m euros in gross season, reporton Telegraph, broadcast Periscope.

By comparison, Real Madrid benefited about 10m euros a year, while in its last season its salary was halved, reaching about 5m euros in gross. Croatia's captain is motivated to continue playing at high levels, as he intends to participate in the 2026 World Cup as well.

A Successful Season With Real
Even in the last season with Real Madrid, Modric played an important role. He gathered nearly 3,000 minutes in all races, activating 35 of the 35 Spanish Championship matches and in all 14 challenges of the Champions League.

In total, he held 53 matches with Real's fantel last season. Modric will be 40 on 9 September.

A Rich and Successful Career
Milan will be the sixth club in Luka Modric's rich career. He grew up at Dinamo Zagreb's academy, but early in his career, he borrowed Zerjski Mostar in 2003.

Then he spent a season at Inter Zapressic before returning to Dinamo, where he stayed for three years.
